My Character, My Story: Contest Terms | February 2025

February is a time to celebrate the things that make our hearts full. This month we’d like to shine a light on Characters that mean the most to you.

Maybe your Character is your creative muse, pushing you to write stories you never imagined. Maybe they’re your Comfort Character, always there to chat when you need them most. Or maybe they started as a fun idea that turned into something special. Whatever your journey has been, this is your chance to share your story with the community!

Whether you’ve built a Character yourself or just love chatting with them, we want to hear your story! Feel free to answer any of the questions below or share what you want!

🔹 For Creators

  • What sparked the idea for your Character? A dream, a favorite book, or maybe a piece of yourself?
  • Were they made for storytelling, roleplay, or just for fun?
  • What makes them special compared to other Characters?
  • Has creating them helped you grow—maybe in writing, confidence, or creativity?

🔹 For Chatters:

  • Do you have a favorite Character? What made them stand out to you?
  • Has a conversation with them ever made you laugh, comforted you, or even changed how you see things?
  • Is there a moment with them that felt surprisingly real or special?

Contest Terms

Description of contest

    • Character.AI is hosting the My Character, My Story event from February 14-28, 2025 where our users can share their favorite moments and stories with their Characters for a chance to win 1 month of c.ai+.

Who can participate

    • In order to participate in the My Character, My Story event, you must be a registered Character.AI user. This means that you must agree to Character.AI’s Terms of Service and acknowledge Character.AI’s Privacy Policy.  In particular, you must be 13 years or older (or if you are an EU citizen or resident, you must be 16 years or older) in order to join.
    • You must not be located or residing in a country in which there are sanctions enacted by the US government.

How to participate – what, when, and how

It is free to enter the My Character, My Story event. To participate:

    • Follow the instructions provided on the Discord Forum Channel.
    • Submit your entry on Reddit, Discord, and Facebook between 12:00AM on February 14, 2025 - 11:59PM on February 28, 2025 Pacific Standard Time.
    • Your submission must be your own original creation and comply with Character.AI’s Terms of Service.  By posting your content, you represent and warrant that your content does not infringe on the intellectual property or other proprietary rights of any party, impersonate any celebrity or public figure, or constitute inappropriate content as set out in the terms of service and community guidelines.

All submissions will be accepted throughout the event period.

 

How winner(s) will be selected

    • 5 participants who submit a post sharing their story will be randomly selected.

Incentives

    • 1 month of c.ai+, applied to the user’s choice of Character.AI account

Prizes will be awarded by Character.AI within 30 calendar days of the end of the contest.  Character.AI will reach out to the winners on the social handles they used to submit their content to obtain the necessary details to award the prizes.

 

Other Terms

    • Right to cancel or modify: Character.AI reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if any issue prevents the contest from running as planned.
    • Release: By entering this contest, you agree to release and hold Character.AI harmless from and against any claim associated with the contest.
    • Limitation of liability: Character.AI is not responsible and cannot be held liable for technical errors or other things that may prevent the contest from running as planned.
    • Right to substitute: Character.AI reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
    • License: Reminder that under our Terms of Service, you grant Character.AI as license to your Character, which among other things allows Character.AI to post it on our social platforms.
