What are Charms?
Charms are our in-app virtual currency that you can use to unlock access to special features. Right now, you can earn Charms through activities in the app. In the future, you’ll also be able to purchase Charms and use them on a wider set of features.
Please note: Charms are tied to your account, cannot be transferred to other users, and are not redeemable for real-world money. Some Charm-enabled features are limited during the beta phase.
How to earn Charms
You can currently earn Charms by completing quests. The quests include:
- Daily log-in
- Enable notifications
- Create a persona
- Create an intro video for a character
- Imagine a chat image
- Post to the feed
We’ll continue rolling out new ways to earn Charms over time.
How to spend Charms
During the beta, Charms can be used on a limited set of features.
- Imagine additional chat images or chats.
- Skip slow-mode.
- Bypass ads.
We’ll update this section as more Charm-enabled actions become available.
If something isn't working
If you’re missing Charms, had an unexpected charge, or your balance doesn’t look right:
- Go to the “Submit a ticket” section of the Character AI Support website.
- In the dropdown, select “Charms.”
- Submit a request with your username.
- Include screenshots of the issue, if possible.
We’re happy to help investigate and resolve the issue.
Character.ai may also in its sole discretion and at any time discontinue providing Charms, or any part thereof, with or without notice.
