Create short AI-generated introduction videos. This guide covers how to choose a subject, write a short script, generate the video, and use it to help your Character stand out.
Your Character is built, tested, and refined. Now let them make an entrance.
Introduction Videos are short, AI-generated clips that turn your Character's still avatars into something more — speaking, emoting, moving. They live on your Character's profile page behind the Watch Intro button. One video, and users can feel the Character before they start a conversation.
Use them right after publishing a new Character to make the profile page impossible to scroll past, when sharing on the Community Feed or taking your Character off-platform, or when you want someone to experience the Character rather than just read about them.
How to make an introduction video
Step 1: open the video creation flow
Two ways in:
From the Create menu — Tap the (+) button in the bottom nav bar, then select Video.
From the Character page — Go to your Character's profile and tap Create intro video near the avatar.
Step 2: choose your subject
Skip this step if you came in through the Character page — your Character is already selected.
From the Create menu, pick who the video is about: a Character you've created, a public Character, or an image from your photo library.
If you're using your photo library and nothing appears, check your settings — photo access needs to be enabled.
Step 3: select a voice
Pick the voice your Character speaks in. If you've already set one on their profile, match it here.
If you haven't set a voice yet, now's the time. This is the voice your Character uses in their very first impression. It matters.
Step 4: write the script
Write what your Character will say. Short. In their voice. This is a Character-defining moment, not a monologue.
Use the emotion toggles (+Happy, +Sad, and others) to shape how the line gets delivered. Don't skip this — your Character's vocal delivery drives the animation's body language, frame by frame. Flat delivery produces flat animation. Write as the Character, not about them.
Step 5: generate
Tap Create Video and let it process. Generation takes a moment.
You can close the app and wait for a push notification, or stay and watch the progress. Either way, it'll be there when it's ready.
Step 6: share or save it
Once it's done, you've got three options:
Save to Profile — this is what users see when they tap Watch Intro on your Character's page.
Post to the Community Feed — share it where other creators and users will see it.
Download and/or Remix — save it to your device or let others build on it.
Things worth knowing
Avatar quality matters. A clear, front-facing avatar with an expressive face produces better animation. The more emotion in the still image, the better the output.
Content policy is strict here. Impersonation, deepfakes, bullying, and protected IP are all prohibited — and the policy is one-strike. Violations result in an immediate ban. Read the terms before you generate, not after.
