Why am I not seeing the Age Assurance pop-up?

Age Assurance is being rolled out gradually, which means the pop-up may not appear for all users immediately.

If you do not see the Age Assurance pop-up, the Advanced setting will not be available and you will not need to take any action at the moment. 

If you see the Age Assurance pop-up, please follow the instructions below:

For the mobile app: 

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the app
  • Restart the app
  • Go to Settings -> Advanced -> Verify Age

For web:

  • Go to character.ai on desktop/web
  • Go to Settings -> Advanced -> Verify Age
